Lonely Windows

The night was dark
Couple of stars shone
In the spotless sky
I could figure out the cold moon
Through the polluted smoke of desires
The distant quarrel
From the neighbouring windows
Supressed by the moaning and kisses
Of a newly wed couple


Facebook was logged in
The connection was slow
I sipped my whiskey
And surfed through your album
A wave of guilt engulfed me
This cannot be the end


Its 3.30 in the morning
The mood was set
Cool breeze were running free
Like wild horses set free
A soothing sound came from the amplifiers
We laid back
Surrendered ourselves to dire straits
The girl was intoxicated
And was waiting for me
I kissed her innocent lips
She smiled drunk and passed out

I stood by the lonely windows
Gently filling up my lungs
I feel lighter
I see myself driving
Moving fast towards our fate
Turned my world upside down
And before she could kiss me the last time
She was gone
Love is much like a rose
Willing to draw blood
In its defense.....
